2026 HUD Competition Notice of Funding Opportunity

On August 7, 2026, the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island issued a Memorandum and Order that sets aside the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) issuance of the FY 2026 HUD Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO). HUD has not released updated guidance regarding next steps. Because the underlying HUD NOFO has been set aside, the local Continuum of Care (CoC) competition process is paused until HUD provides formal direction on how CoCs should proceed.
